About Me
Professor East graduated from Edinburgh University in 1999 and trained in Gastroenterology and General (Internal) Medicine on the North West London rotation. He was awarded an MD(Res) in 2009 from Imperial College London after research into helping find pre-cancerous polyps at colonoscopy at St Mark’s Hospital. He was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust in January 2010.
He moved to Oxfordshire a decade ago from North London with his wife and children, and has been enjoying the countryside ever since. He is passionate about developing Endoscopy and Bowel cancer screening for the Oxfordshire population, and in between this manages to fit in a bit of fly fishing and skiing.
